Blockchain Legal Database
A legal database with the focus on the regulation of blockchain and cryptocurrencies, containing over 600 legal texts published between 2020 and 2025. The database primarily concentrates on Swiss jurisdiction, with additional coverage of the legal frameworks in the EU, UK, and US. The collection includes statutes, regulatory guidelines, scholarly articles, legal commentaries, consultation papers, and court decisions.
The legal texts can be filtered based on key metadata, including authorship or responsible institutions, relevant keywords, intended audience, year of publication, jurisdiction as well publication source. The database also offers summaries of each legal text with the most important points regarding the blockchain regulation.
Within the legal database, an Advanced Document Analytics dashboard is featured, through which the collection's scope and substance can be explored using a suite of interactive visualizations. The global landscape is assessed via jurisdictional analysis, where document distribution by country is shown on a world map and language breakdowns are illustrated in a pie chart. Legal trends can be tracked with a temporal analysis, where publication volumes per year are displayed and key regulatory developments are mapped on a timeline. The core themes of the documents are revealed using content analysis tools like keyword bar charts and word clouds. Finally, the legal structure is understood through a regulatory analysis, in which the most referenced legal frameworks are identified and the collection is broken down by document type.
